Freedom and its Price in the Georgian Conflict

Normally the articles I write deal with sports, photography, or sports memorabilia preservation. Now, given that the Beijing Olympics are in progress, the general assumption is that I have an unlimited number of topics to discuss. Needless to say this article is about a different topic occurring in the news. This topic actually affects my life and the lives of the people that I hold dear in my heart. The problem is that over a week ago Russian troops invaded The Republic of Georgia. I must say that this is going to be the topic of my latest opinionated article.

The First Photograph

The summer of 1826 was a turning point in recorded human history. The first surviving photograph depicted was the view from Niépce's workshop at his estate in Gras, France. Though hard to decipher it contains several buildings a tree and a barn. Although poor in quality compared to even the earliest photographs its development was the foundation of what we know of as photography today.

The Hunt for the Cup

From it's humble beginnings as a challenge cup the Stanley Cup has been the most coveted trophy in hockey.

Framing a Sports Jersey

Framing a jersey serves two purposes. The first purpose is that framing a jersey maintains it in its current state and protects it from any future damage. The other reason to frame a jersey is so that it can be displayed in all of its glory.
