An engineering thesis should relate to engineering practice. It is comprised of four essential parts What engineering problem has to be solved? What are the various solutions to solve the problem? What solution do I have in order to solve the problem? How does my solution compare to previous solutions? What are its benefits and drawbacks? An engineering thesis is normally found in the solution to the problem. The problem should be general so that the solution is interesting. An engineering thesis that answers only questions 1 and 3 is not more than an engineering experience report. And this is not good. An engineering thesis is valued from its thorough academic value which is a part of the thorough evaluation of your answer and comparison with other answers to that problem. One shouldn’t expect to graduate without satisfactory answers to questions 2 and 4, although people sometimes do. An engineering thesis should advance scientific knowledge in support of future solutions to engineering questions and problems. . That is, the scientific question asked should be motivated by engineering needs. Some engineering theses are exploratory,
theoretical and experimental: i.e., observations are made of a system and a proposed theory which explains those observations, new predictions are made from this theory, and experiments conducted in that engineering thesis should verify those predictions. And that’s what an engineering thesis is all about! Before writing your electrical engineering thesis, you must consider certain factors in order to present a good electrical engineering thesis. If it’s for a Bachelor degree, it should be supported by some kind of academic work. Introduction of the Electrical Engineering Thesis Try to be more informative and concise in this chapter of your electrical engineering thesis. You should be able to describe the importance of the topic chosen. Point out the reasons, because of which you are writing this electrical engineering thesis. Main Body Of the Electrical Engineering Thesis The research should be presented in this part. Every detail and sufficient theory should be mentioned here. Examples and experiments should also be incorporated with figures and diagrams related to the study. Conclusion Of Your Electrical Engineering Thesis The conclusion of your electrical engineering thesis should be attractive clear and concise mentioning important results of the thesis and all ideas should be to the point.
